I feel very blessed to have been given the opportunity to work/ share and learn with you all over the last years and hope we can keep this train moving by staying together throughout the next year.

7Th Anniversary of ABADA UK
That’s right, seven years ago i started teaching my first capoeira lessons in London it was the start of our group the first ABADA group in the UK.
To celebrate the occasion we are hosting a festive weekend with a very special guests. Instrutora Juma from Rio, student of Mestre Camisa in the CIEP Humaita( who is also the 2008 Champion of the JOGOS Brasileiros ABADA Capoeira/ 3rd place 2009 Jogos Mundiais ABADA Capoeira) will be our special guest .

Capoeira has finally hit the big screens, Big Time!! Besouro, the legendary capoeirista that lived in Bahia has finally been made a movie star.
Watch the english version of the official trailer from Besouro, movie about the brazilian capoeira legend Besouro Mangangá. Produced by Mixer and Globo Films, distributed by Miravista, the film is directed by João Daniel Tikhomiroff. Release in November 2009 in Brazil

About us…
ABADA-Capoeira UK(Brazilian Association for the Support and Development of the Art of Capoeira) is a non-profit organization that provides social, cultural and educational services to children, youth and the elderly through the means of Capoeira and other related activities.
The UK group was founded in January 2003 . Manjerico, the teacher, is a member of the ABADA-Capoeira since 1997 and has been involved in teaching Capoeira since 1999. He is a fully recognized teacher of the same institution.

Since the creation ABADA UK, Manjerico has been teaching children, youth and adults in East, Central and West London. He has also been involved in several social projects (compromising capoeira, theatre and dance) such as teaching special needs and refugees groups and has developed collaborations with various dance and physical theatre groups in London.
